ZBRUSH FTW!!

Zomg you guise,
I just downloaded the ZBrush trial and it totally rocks. :0 SO much more intuitive than any of the other 3D modelling programmes with 908304958309485 tools. I feel like a kid messing with mud, it's awesome. XDD. It's like Sculpey! 8D I downloaded it like 20 minutes ago and still suck at it, but maybe I can get better with some tutorials. XD *produces some horribly mutated duck monster*

PS: Any of you savvy peepulz, is ZBrush 3.1 or Mudbox better? :0

I kind of like Mudbox, but man, sculpting is hella hard. :P

Yeah, it sorta sounds awesome too XDD I think I'll download a trial of that one as well. 8D I love graphic programmes like these, Maya kills me with its nurbs-ness XD;

I think we have just made the exact same post. I even said the thing about it being like messing with clay. XD I'm lovin' ZBrush, I feel like I actually have some shot at producing something more complicated than a 3d ball now, hee.

lololol awesome! XDDD I don't know why I didn't download it sooner. 8D I still have to look up some things if I want to do something better (like how do I make the sphere bigger/add more polygons? XD And how do I do I model stuff symmetrical? XDDD).

Huh, I might want to check those out.
The only 3D program I've heard of is Maya(?) and a free one called Blender ( http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/ ) I've been wanting to try 3d but I don't know if my laptop would be able to take it.

Yeah, I heard about Blender before! 8D Never used it though, maybe I should download it (though I think most businesses use 3D Studio Max or Maya).
I don't know whether ZBrush and Mudbox are the only ones that actually feel like sculpting something, but Maya and a lot of others sure don't. XDDD

For me, yes! Cinema4D for example seemed pretty non-intuitive to me, all those (LOTSSS) tools and having to switch around between different states of the object...
With ZBrush I bet there are a lot of possibilities as well, but the first thing I saw were about 10 tools which either made bumps on the object or carved into it, so I could immedately at least try and form something. XD
